cXML Punchout Catalog for Coupa
A hosted product catalog with cXML punchout into Coupa, so buyers shop and requisition indirect goods without leaving their procurement platform.
The Challenge
The client needed its indirect-procurement catalog available to buyers directly inside Coupa, using the cXML punchout standard, but had no catalog platform capable of hosting the content and handling the punchout handshake at production scale and uptime.

Built and hosted a cXML-compliant catalog service supporting the PunchOutSetupRequest/Response handshake Coupa expects.

Implemented catalog content management so product data, pricing, and availability could be kept current without a code change.

Handle the cart return
Handled the cart-return flow so items selected in the punchout session came back into Coupa as a clean requisition.

Deploy for scale
Deployed the service on cloud infrastructure sized for procurement-cycle traffic and monitored for availability.

Buyers can browse and select from the catalog inside Coupa with current pricing, no separate login or portal.
A shorter PO cycle

Independent catalog updates
